How does ValorFit® determine the placement of Veterans in Gyms?

Several factors are considered when determining Gym or Facility placement for each veteran. While location is an important factor, it does not determine the final placement decision. VF’s goal is to place veterans in facilities that meet their daily needs: schedule, transportation, employment, routines, location, and other considerations that will contribute to that veteran’s ability to drive successful attendance and establish healthy new habits.

Does ValorFit® have a Gym Affiliate in my area?

ValorFit is growing and expanding our footprint. While ValorFit is placing Veterans around the Region, we may not have a Gym Affiliate in our network in all areas. ValorFit will continue to focus on key areas where we can maximize our reach & support for Veterans.

I am a Guard or Reservist. Am I eligible for ValorFit® resources?

ValorFit provides financial aid for functional fitness programming to Veterans. If you have completed your term of service or enlistment, and have a final DD214 for discharge, you are eligible to apply for ValorFit Program resources.

Do I need to be an Honorably Discharged Veteran to be considered for ValorFit® resources?

Yes. Still, a Veteran with a General discharge may be considered on an exception, case-by-case basis.

Do I need to have combat status, or have been deployed to qualify for the ValorFit® Program?

No. Eligibility and acceptance into the VF program does not require combat or deployment status. While many of the veterans we serve have been combat deployed, this is not a requirement for entry into the program.

Do I need to have a service-connected disability to be accepted into the ValorFit® Program?

While it is true that many Veterans that VF supports have a service-connected disability, this is not a requirement for placement in the VF program. Still, to determine eligibility, we will ask about any service-connected disability/ratings, medical boards, or service-connected issues or concerns.

Will I need to provide proof of my military service to be considered for ValorFit®?

Yes. As a part of our eligibility and placement process, we require a copy of your DD214.

I completed my 10-week ValorFit® Program. Can I reapply for extended financial aid resources?

ValorFit wants to support and serve as many Veterans as possible. Once the 10-week Program has concluded, our goal is for our Veteran to own their membership, become a permanent part of the Gym community, and continue their growth and commitment to self and wellness.

Will ValorFit® provide financial aid resources for other services?

ValorFit’s mission is improving health, wellness, and a renewal of self-worth through group functional fitness. Our financial aid is solely focused on group fitness membership and establishing healthy routines.
